Jose Nectali Otaya - Colombia

Jose Nectali Otaya is a producer from Buesaco, Nariño, a region of Colombia with a rich history of coffee production we’re excited to explore more later this year. His coffee jumped out to us on the cupping table as a surprising and stellar expression of V. Colombia, a variety initially developed for its disease resistance rather than its cup quality potential. We taste darker fruits, oxidized tea, toasted almond, and subtle purple florals, framed by a honey-like sweetness.
