Description
This is our first time carrying coffee from Dolmin Moreno, a fourth generation producer whom we met when we visited Honduras in the spring of 2024. Dolmin grows equal amounts of SL-28 and Gesha on his super small 1.4 hectare farm in the village of El Cedral in Santa Barbara. This offering is a small lot separation of the SL-28, a famed Kenyan variety that can fare very well planted in Honduras. It was picked at peak ripeness, pulped, dry fermented in tanks for 18 hours, dried on raised beds for 8 hours, manually sorted, then finished in parabolic driers for 14 days. This coffee is a really fun blend of Kenyan and Honduran cup characteristics: a darker, slightly savory cup balanced by stewed red fruit, mouthwatering acidity, and spiced complexity.
