Kiamugumo - Kenya

The Kiamugumo washing station is located in the buffer zone Mount Kenya National Park. The average farm size of of a producer who delivers to Kiamugumo is just 1-2 hecatres. After the cherry is delivered it is soaked in fermentation tanks for 12-24 hours before being depulped with water from the Kii river and then dried on raised beds for 5-10 days - until the coffee has reached 11-13% moisture content.  Grown under the Grevillea, macadamia, and false banana trees, this coffee from Kiamugumo sweet and complex. In the cup you should expect lemongrass, cranberry and honey sweetness.
