Gaharo - Burundi

This year's crop of Burundi is astounding for a couple of reasons. First, the taste is what we have been missing for a couple of years. Second, it's already here! We usually see arrivals of these coffees take place in January, so for us to have it more than a month early is almost too good to be true. Our first coffee, which comes from the Long Miles Coffee Project's initial program at the Bukeye washing station is Gaharo. The stone fruit qualities and tea-like structure of Burundi is as good as we've tasted in some time, and having the coffee show up in good shape means that every box for quality has been checked. We're excited to be able to take what feels very much like a gift to us and pass it along to you. Happy tasting!
