Here's a country from which we don't typically purchase coffee, but we're really glad we did this time. Bertha Cruz is a farmer whose farm, Sol Naciente, sits high up in the Peruvian Andes outside the southern city of Cusco. Bourbon is her primary varietal, and the clarity and sweetness for this coffee is among the best we've tasted in a while. We were looking for another offering to round out our American options, and our friends at Red Fox must have read our minds because when this sample showed up in the mail we knew we had to have it. There's loads of clean white grape acidity with maple sweetness and complexity. Don't be surprised if you see this coffee again in the future because we're absolutely digging it!
