This exquisite coffee was grown on Finca Los Angeles, owned by the one and only Maria Bercelia Martinez. Los Angeles is located way up there at 1900 masl in Acevedo, where Maria has 17 hectares planted in Caturra. The care that goes into her coffee is extraordinary; she monitors her cherry selection to ensure that only perfectly ripe cherries are harvested, floats cherries twice, both before pulping and during washing, and dries the coffee while covered for 15-30 days. The care absolutely pays off: the outcome is a sweet, syrupy cup, with notes of starfruit and caramel.
