This delightfully sweet coffee was produced by Vitelmo Ordonez on his farm, Finca El Mirador. We’ve been tasting some incredible coffees out of Tolima this year so far, and El Mirador is absolutely one of them! The farm is at 1850 masl in the hamlet of San Isidro, which is in the municipality of Planadas in the southwest of Tolima. His 6 hectares of coffee are 100% Caturra and are meticulously picked and processed: he monitors his workers for underripe and overripe picking and sorts during the coffee’s covered drying period. All this work leads to an incredibly complex cup, bursting with stonefruit, hazelnut, and panela, with some delicate florals and black tea in there as well.
