In the past, Tanzania has never quite grabbed our interest the way other origins in East Africa have, but that's definitely changing. The good people over at Crop To Cup have set out to change our minds, and they've succeeded with this AB lot from the Mwika North Central producer group. This AMCOS (Agricultural Marketing Co-Operative Society) has weathered the successive storms of changing climate, government corruption and reform, and dwindling support from in-country agricultural resources, but their perseverence through these hardships has resulted in some really great coffee. We're excited to offer what we're hoping is the first of many Tanzanias to our menu. Like Kenya just to the north, this coffee has punchy acidity that makes us think of pomegranates. As it cools, the clarity, complexity, and overall sweetness of the coffee really start to shine.
