Wait, is this a digital camera?! You betcha, but, like, a vintage one. Originally released in 2005, the CoolPix 5600 features a 5.1-megapixel CCD sensor that can produce 11x17” prints. This tiny – and we mean tiny, it’s only 3.3” x 2.4” x 1.3” – will slip easily into your coat or pants pocket, ready to point and shoot at whatever piques your interest. A true point and shoot camera, it features only auto modes, which render great shots across its 3x optical zoom range, including a night shot and even macro mode. Requires an old school SD card, which we’ve includes, and, get this, two AA batteries. Yep, no esoteric battery form factor here, just grab some Energizers (not included) and hit the road. One of our favorite features is the ability to record a short audio file to each image, meaning you can narrate those weird creative impulses as needed.
